Living a Zero Waste lifestyle is all about creating new green habits. These guides will help you with that process!
Know everything that can be recycled
-
Check our A-Z Recycling Guide for where you can recycle pretty much anything in Boulder County. If it's not in the guide, it's not recyclable in Boulder County!
-
Download recycling guidelines and post them in your home. Always place recycling (and compost!) bins near trash bins so you can easily practice Zero Waste throughout your home.
-
Download CHaRM guidelines to see what hard-to-recycle materials (like appliances, electronics, yoga mats, white block foam + more) can be recycled at the Eco-Cycle/City of Boulder Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials in Boulder.
Know everything that can be composted curbside
-
Download curbside composting guidelines and post them in your home. Always place compost (and recycing!) bins near trash bins so you can easily practice Zero Waste throughout your home. And don't forget to compost low-grade paper products that can't be recycled, like tissues, napkins and paper towels!
-
Download our "Is it Compostable?" guide to help you figure out whether your product is safe for composting curbside (Quick tip: If it contains plastic, keep it OUTof the bin!)
-
Download our curbside composting tips for how to keep your bin(s) stink- and bug-free.
