Local IT Companies go for Zero Waste with CHaRM on the Road services
Our community partners are making recycling hard-to-recycle materials look easy!
Boulder-based BI Incorporated, which provides technical solutions for correctional programs, has recycled tens of thousands of pounds of electronics, cables, and mixed plastics through their program to recycle hard-to-recycle materials with CHaRM on the Road, an Eco-Cycle Zero Waste Services program.
As a result of their recycling efforts, since May 2013 they have reduced their carbon footprint equal to preventing the use of 25,000 gallons of gasoline!
Vital Network Solutions, a computer network consulting company also based in Boulder, started their hard-to-recycle journey back in 2012 by bringing Styrofoam and electronics directly to the CHaRM. Their program became so successful that they required routine collection services from Eco-Cycle.
Through their efforts, more 6,000 pounds of valuable resources have been kept out of the landfill and in the production loop!
Congratulations to BI Incorporated and Vital Network Solutions for helping to keep our community green and healthy!
