Services provided: Collection for all traditional recyclables (mixed paper including bagged shredded paper, cardboard, glass and plastic bottles, aluminum and tin cans, scrap metal), hard-to-recycle materials (computers, fax and copier machines, other electronics, plastic bags with a #2 or #4, stretch wrap, #6 white block foam, wooden pallets, textiles, books and paired shoes) and compostables (all food and landscaping waste, uncoated paper products and compostable food service products made from plant materials). More info: Donations may be dropped off any time before 10 a.m. or after 5 p.m., seven days a week. Please bring donations to the west facing door on the north end of the Shelter.

Accepted materials: Commercial truckloads of usable clothing items, fabric, stuffed toys and shoes to be sorted and resold, reused or donated.
More info: Denver Waste Materials pride themselves in recycling more than 97% of all the textiles that they accept, working hard to keep usable materials out of the landfill where they would otherwise end up. They send used clothing around the world to emerging countries to be worn again or cut into wiping rags to be used by different industries all over the U.S.

Accepted materials: All porcelain sinks, toilets and urinals for a fee. An extra charge applies if non-porcelain pieces such as toilet seats, lids and plumbing fixtures have not been removed. Broken or cracked units are okay. Vehicles that come to CHaRM are charged $3 facility use fee per visit in addition to any per-item fees. NO biohazards. Enamel-coated cast iron tubs can be recycled as scrap metal here at CHaRM as well.
