Tips
for curbside recycling:
- Be sure to put your materials out on the right
day and time.
- Please prepare materials correctly and only
include items accepted through your program. Including additional
materials jeopardizes recycling markets and makes processing more
costly.
- Most of these items are accepted at the Longmont Recycling Center located at 140 Martin St. Please see below for the guideslines and sorting requirements for the drop-off center, or call 303-772-7300.
- Please rinse containers. Do not crush or flatten containers.
- Please avoid breaking glass. Glass shards
are difficult to sort by color, and even more difficult to market.

Monday, April 20, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Natural Resources Building Classroom, Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Hover Road
Many products found in your kitchen, bathroom, garage or garden shed are potentially hazardous substances that can poison, corrode or cause injury when handled improperly. Join Eco-Cycle staff to find out what household project products are harmful, how to safely dispose of them and how to avoid them in the first place. We'll share some easy non-toxic recipes that can be whipped up with items you likely already have in your kitchen cupboard. Bring a spray bottle and you can take some natural cleaner home with you to use.
For questions or to RSVP, email Kary or call 303-772-7300.
Composting With Worms Workshop
Wednesday, May 13, 7-8 p.m.
Natural Resources Building Classroom, Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Hover Road
What has 5 hearts, can eat its weight in a day and is an important part of Zero Waste at home? Compost worms, of course! Join Eco-Cycle staffer and long-time worm lover Kary to learn all about this indoor alternative to the backyard compost pile. Composting with worms, also known as vermiculture, is an easy, fun way to turn food scraps into a nutrient-rich addition for your houseplants. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and look at a couple of working worm bins. This workshop is for those who are ready to commit to composting with worms or those who just want to learn more. All ages are welcome.
