| Recycling in Lafayette & Louisville
The Glen Huey Recycling Center will be permanently closing on November 1 after many years of service to the Lafayette and Louisville communities. Residents now have expanded curbside recycling programs that accept all of the materials collected at the drop-off center and more. These better recycling opportunities, combined with budget cuts, have brought an end to the drop-off center. Residents may drop off their recyclables at the Boulder County Recycling Center.

The Dirty Dozen: Curbside Recycling's Top 12 Contaminants
One of the challenges to single-stream recycling is the increase in contamination. Folks tend to get a little recycling happy, tossing additional items into the bin. But, sending us non-recyclable materials jeopardizes the success of the whole program. Please help make single-stream recycling a success by keeping these materials OUT of your curbside recycling bin.
