A-Z Recycling Guide -- Shredded Paper
Recycling Shredded Paper in Boulder County
Already shredded paper can be recycled at the Boulder County Recycling Center in the White Paper/Shredded Paper bin, at the Longmont Waste Diversion Center in the Shredded Paper bin and at the CHaRM in Boulder in the compost bin. Shredded paper should be dumped into the bin from your container or bag. DO NOT put plastic bags full of shredded paper into your recycling bin.
Shredded paper is NOT accepted through single-stream recycling. Learn more about the challenges with recycling shredded paper.
Shredded paper can be composted through curbside composting programs, where available. Please either "sandwich" your shred between other materials or dampen your shred so it doesn't blow in the wind when your bin is emptied. Learn more about composting.
