Ongoing Programs and Workshops

Boulder County’s Household Hazardous Waste Program, Boulder County’s Household Hazardous Waste Program, located at Western Disposal’s transfer station (5880 Butte Mill Rd., Boulder), continues to accept Household Hazardous Wastes from residents of Boulder and Broomfield Counties and the town of Erie between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. In addition, the County sponsors a reusable products give-away at the facility every Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm. Get paint and other useful home-care products for free! For more information on the HHW program, call the HHW hotline at 303-441-4800.

Master Composter training, Master Composter training is available from the Boulder Energy Conservation Center, in cooperation with the Boulder County Recycling and Composting Authority and CSU Cooperative Extension. For an application, or for more details, call the BECC at 303-441-3278.
