It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our friend and newest board member Rudd Mayer. For years we courted Rudd’s joy, passion, and commitment to environmental causes and we were thrilled when she finally had time in her incredibly busy schedule to join us. Famous for her effective and award-winning efforts in bringing wind power to the Boulder County area through her work with the Land and Water Fund in Boulder, and loved for her charm, wit, and enthusiasm, we were honored to have such a dear and accomplished person in our ranks. Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy Rudd’s wonderful talents and warm camaraderie on the board for long, but we are grateful for the time we did know her. Her contributions as an environmentalist, a mother, and as a friend will live on in our community. Thank you, Rudd, for gracing this world with your energy and spirit. Our home is a better place to live because of you.
