The old
recycling Drop-off Center at 5351 Pearl Pkwy will soon be
closed, but the new drop-off location is already up and
running. If you haven’t been to the new Drop-off Center and
Boulder County Recycling Center located at 1901 63rd Street
between Arapahoe and Valmont in Boulder, you’ll find several
improvements:
No stairs make it easier to
access the bins. A raised curb makes it safer for kids to
help. No more sorting your food and beverage containers;
bottles, cans, jars and paper drink cartons can all be mixed
together in the “Commingled Containers” box. Best of all,
there’s more parking to alleviate the long lines during peak
recycling times.
If you’re
a Boulder resident, you’ll likely find yourself making far
fewer trips to the Drop-off Center, because the City of
Boulder’s new ordinance on curbside recycling brings the
Drop-off Center to your door. Now more materials than ever
will be collected at the curb in Boulder. See Guidelines on
Page A of the Center Pull-Out Section of the print version
for details.
