Say "Global Response!" and Nature's Own Will Donate 100%
This November, as you’re getting a jump on your holiday gifts, you can support environmental activism at the same time. Here’s how: Get yourself to Nature’s Own at the Crossroads Mall during the first three weeks of November, choose from an incredible collection of stoneworks, fossils, geodes, jewelry, wall hangings, gifts for kids and more, then head to the cashier and say, “Global Response.” Those magic words will commit 100% (yes, 100%) of the amount of your purchase towards Global Response, an international network for environmental action and education based in Boulder.

It’s a giant leap forward in business philanthropy that community activist and Nature’s Own owner Roy Young is taking towards supporting environmental work in Colorado. Instead of a 1% day or a 5% day, he’s taking it all the way to 100%.Young plans to repeat the program next year for another organization, and would like to create a coalition of businesses interested in this kind of an approach to giving back to the community.

All five of Young’s Nature’s Own stores in Colorado are participating in the program through the first three weeks of November to support Global Response’s work. Through Global Response, people of all ages and nationalities join together to protect the planet using international letter-writing campaigns. Check out their website at www.globalresponse.org, or call 303-444-0306 for more information.

Eco-Cycle would like to thank Roy for this new idea and for all the wonderful work and philanthropic activities he has done for Boulder County, including co-founding Eco-Cycle, founding Global Response, and supporting many progressive environmental programs and organizations. Roy is this year’s deserving recipient of the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center’s “Elise Boulding Peacemaker of the Year Award.” Congratulations, Roy.
