Let's Increase Business Recycling and Composting
Did you know that while some local businesses are sustainability pioneers, many still don't recycle or compost? Businesses in the City of Boulder send three times as much trash to the landfill as single-family homes. Why should you care? Because Recycling, Composting and other Zero Waste practices combat climate change and conserve natural resources.
On February 17, the Boulder City Council will consider options for an ordinance that could require all businesses to recycle and all restaurants and grocery stores to compost.

The impact of Eco-Cycle’s diverse programs is receiving global attention, which has led communities from as close as Pueblo and as far away as Nepal to contact us for help in developing local sustainable economies and jobs through Zero Waste systems. To meet this growing demand, we’ve created a spin-off organization called Eco-Cycle International. We are in development of a one-stop online portal where communities around the world can find everything they need to initiate Zero Waste wherever they are.
Eco-Cycle thanks WhiteWave Foods for becoming our first Gold Level Partner.
